Spring Mini: The Johnson Family
Usually, I reserve my Spring mini sessions for Mamas and their little ones for mother’s day portraits. However, with the move, I decided to open my mini sessions for anyone who wanted to sign up. I was thrilled to see so many returning families sign up! I loved having the opportunity to get to photograph such sweet friends again. It’s been such a tug on my heart having to leave so many dear people that have entrusted me with such important life moments over the years. I don’t think I’ll ever be ok with having to leave my wonderful families. We had to spread out our sessions over the course of the weekend due to rain and wind. But the moments that we did have for photos, were absolutely gorgeous! Using these tools that God has given me to photograph such wonderful people in such a beautiful season was such an honor! I hope you enjoy these sneak peaks.
It’s silly, but it always makes me nervous and excited when people from our church ask me for photos. I’m not exactly sure why, but it always makes me feel the pressure to capture perfection for them. But I still genuinely looked forward to getting to photograph these four. Their girls are complete opposites and totally made my afternoon. I even got “pretty please”’d into a goofy photo. But for those two, I can totally acquiesce (they remind me a lot of my sister and I). And let’s talk about how much we laughed during our session! The Johnson family is a lot of fun. They were up for everything I asked of them and were even great location finders (the flowery tree family shot was all the girl’s suggestion!). All in all, a successful Sunday afternoon.
