Spring Mini: The Bakalyar Family
Usually, I reserve my Spring mini sessions for Mamas and their little ones for mother’s day portraits. However, with the move, I decided to open my mini sessions for anyone who wanted to sign up. I was thrilled to see so many returning families sign up! I loved having the opportunity to get to photograph such sweet friends again. It’s been such a tug on my heart having to leave so many dear people that have entrusted me with such important life moments over the years. I don’t think I’ll ever be ok with having to leave my wonderful families. We had to spread out our sessions over the course of the weekend due to rain and wind. But the moments that we did have for photos, were absolutely gorgeous! Using these tools that God has given me to photograph such wonderful people in such a beautiful season was such an honor! I hope you enjoy these sneak peaks.
I first met the Bakalyar family last fall during my mini sessions. Jen was expecting their newest bundle of joy and I was so excited to get to offer her a few maternity shots during their session. A few weeks following, I got an email asking if I could photograph their Fresh 48 session for Hannah. It ended up being one of my favorite Fresh 48 sessions that I’ve ever photographed. The four kids were so excited about meeting their little sister! When I heard they were also coming for my Spring Minis, I was so excited! The kids knew who I was and everyone was so comfortable around each other. Even poor little Judah, who was struggling with major allergies (although you couldn’t tell it by his sweet smile). They brought along the most beautiful quilt that belonged to a recently passed family member. It was such a special session!
