Spring Portraits: The Bailey Family
It takes a lot of coordination from a lot of people to pull off group family photos. Gracious, it takes a lot of work to get one toddler dressed up and remain clean whilst outside and then make sure they smile a genuine smile at the camera for a few seconds. But the Bailey family was beyond gracious, patient, and wonderful! With five little ones five and under, you can rest assured there were a few grumpy moments. But that’s all they were, moments. This wonderful family loved their little ones so well. It was obvious in their patience with an attitude, their willingness to explore and grant a break to a toddler or two, and all of the available arms to hold and hug the littlest babies. It encouraged my heart as a Mama, and a photographer, to see such grace poured out during what can be a stressful time (even if a teeny toy “Mater” truck did have to drive on my head most of the morning).
I know that coordinating schedules, wardrobes, travel itineraries, and the weather can be like winning the lottery when you try to schedule group family portraits, but what a gift! I look forward to the day when I hopefully can have portraits taken with my grown babies and their little ones. I know that portraits like these will be a treasure in time. Thank you, Bailey family! It was an honor spending such a beautiful Spring morning with you.
