Breastfeeding Mini: Samuel

Have you ever met someone and kind of known that you two were going to be friends? That's how it happened with this beautiful lady and I. We met at a local breastfeeding support group and our babes happened to be birthday buddies. These two were an answer to my new Mom's prayers. It's been over a year since we've struck up a friendship and I wouldn't trade all of our "first year Mom" struggles and midnight feeding emails for the world. I had the honor of photographing a short session for these two as they near the end of of the nursing journey. I know it was a fight to make it as far as they've come (especially in the beginning), and I couldn't be more proud to help freeze this season in time for this Momma.

Babies don't keep, or so the saying goes. The juxtaposition of baby to toddler in this session pulls at this Momma's heart strings. But I'm so glad that I was able to capture a few sweet moments between these two.

I believe that fed is best. Breast, bottle, or tube. A fed baby is a loved baby. But as a nursing Momma, I know that the battle to breastfeed your baby isn't one to take lightly. I'd love to help document this fleeting time (be it at the beginning, middle, or end of your journey). Sessions aren't long and can be at whatever time of day fits your baby's schedule. You deserve to have a keepsake of your hard work. If you'd like to book your breastfeeding session or would like more information, feel free to contact me.
